    I like using sympathy monster and getting attached to npc to help them get more involved with local things

      Good ones. innocent NPCs are good fodder for tugging at the heart strings, especially if they are modeled after people the players know.

    I assume that the Star Wars game you mentioned was the aforementioned Edge of the Empire game? If so let me break this down…you are playing a game were the PCs are Assassins, Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, gangsters and all round dirty rotten scoundrels, and someone was surprised they got back stabbed? I’d be surprised if someone didn’t do that. I’d think this as pure gold if I were running that game.

      We have a tendency to play the good scoundrels and hookers with hearts of gold. So when Shannon was feeding information to an Imperial intelligence officer… they (mostly Jayson) took offense.
