Space Opera – Ep48

We have not tried this one, but after reading it we should.

If you are a gamer, or nerd in general, then you are into science fiction (at least we have never met one that isn’t). Popular science fiction, as we know it now, is technically considered space opera as opposed to the hard science fiction that was the standard in the sixties and seventies.

In this episode we talk about the different games devoted to this very popular genre.

Maps – Ep38

by Donato Giancola

Like the red-headed stepchild, maps are usually underappreciated and overlooked by gamers. We were apprehensive (at first) about the subject carrying an entire show, but once we dug into it we realized how much maps influence and enhance the gaming experience.

A map can be the difference between a good gaming experience and a great one.

NPCs – Ep34

Every Epic Tale Needs a Strong Supporting Cast

The Non-Player Character, next a good plot, probably the most important aspect of a game. With strong NPCs a good game can become a great game.

This episode we  talk about memorable NPCs and what made them memorable. We also touch on the process of making an NPC memorable.
