I can tell you guys never really got too much into the Vampire RPG. Vampire: The Kindred TV show was not liked very much by the fans of the game. They screwed so much of it up it wasn’t funny. Mark Rein-Hagen got so frustrated with what the studio was doing he left the project.
My all time favourite vampire TV show was “Forever Knight”. Two other fairly recent shows that were pretty good are “Blood Ties” and “Being Human” (UK version).

Your assessment is spot on. We came to VtM very late compared to other players. So Kindred was seen purely as laypersons. Much like other instances of our sub-culture being showcased for “squares”, it piqued our interest and a reason we got into VtM (although not as much as some)

A great movie that I’d recommend is Captain Kronos. It’s hammer horror and very fantasy at the same time. There’s a great concept of vampire hunting in the film and just a great movie that’s easily overlooked.

LOVED this episode! If I can do a bit of Shamless self promotion here, I recently had a chat with Mark Rein Hagen about his new RPG Kickstarter, but we of course talked about Vampire The Masqurde And Kindred The Embraced.

With that out of the way, I do agree that Kindred the embraced was WAY Ahead of it’s time. Great show, but on too soon..

Forever Knight And Blood Ties are 2 other GREAT Vampire TV shows as well.

    Thanks!

Surprised nobody mentioned Penny Dreadful. Great retelling of all the old universal picture monsters.

If you are referring to The Hermit’s Road adventure, then yes. We are actually about to play through it in a couple weeks. Otherwise, then no.

VtM was the first of the franchise. WtA and the other lines followed fairly closely afterward.
